Purpose

 
•          
Approve the Programme budget spend for the financial year 1 April
2024 to 31 March 2025 as outlined in the Executive Decision
Report/Appendix.
 
•          
Authorise the Chief Community Safety Officer to review and revise
the funding Programme to account for, and respond to, emerging
needs, priorities as well as reallocate any underspend.

Decision

The
Strategic Director APPROVED:

(I.)      
The Community Safety Funding Programme budget spend for the
financial year 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025 as outlined in
Appendix 1;

(II.)     
That the Council provide funding towards the Community Safety
Funding Programme of £247,300;

(III.)   
That the grant funding of £184,850 from the Mayor’s
Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) London Crime Prevention Fund
(LCPF) and a further £50,000 of Violence Reduction Unit (VRU)
funding and £29,150 from the Serious Violence Duty Grant can
continue to be utilised towards part funding of the Community
Safety Funding Programme;

(IV.)  
Following consultation with the Bi-Borough Director of Public
Health that funding of £47,000 can also be used towards the
Community Safety Funding Programme;

(V.)    
That the Chief Community Safety Officer be authorised to review and
revise the Community Safety Funding Programme to account for, and
respond to, emerging needs, priorities as well as reallocate any
underspend.
