Full council record
Purpose
Community
Infrastructure Levy is a charge levied on new development. It is
intended to help Councils deliver the infrastructure needed to
support development. The Council has been collecting CIL from
liable development since 6 April 2015.
A portion of CIL is set aside as Neighbourhood CIL
to be spent on local priorities identified by the local
communities. There is a total of £3.52 million (as of January
2024) of NCIL collected from developments in the
Borough.
An eight week bidding
period is open from 16 January and closes on the 12 March 2024.
This invites the Borough’s communities to put forward bids
for the NCIL 2024 funding round.
Ward councillors will consider
the bids along with the officer reviews and make their NCIL funding
allocation decisions. The Executive Director for Environment and
Communities will make the Executive Decision to release the NCIL
funds for the funding allocation decisions made by ward
members.
Decision
The Executive Director for Environment and
Neighbourhoods APPROVED the allocation of NCIL funds according to
the decisions taken by ward councillors, as set out in Table
4.
