Purpose

Approval for making the Compulsory Purchase
Order and the Service of Notice and the placing of
advertisements.
 
The decision exercised the
authority delegated to the Executive Director for Place by Cabinet
on 5th November 2024 in relation to the proposed
Compulsory Purchase Order.
 
The decision has been taken to
enable the steps necessary to acquire the interests of land and
property to undertake the comprehensive regeneration and
remodelling of the Buxton House flats. Options to acquire assets
consensually have been pursued.

To take the necessary steps to secure the
making, confirmation and implementation of the Compulsory Purchase
Order [CPO], and to finalise the draft Statement of Reason,
publication and service of notices and the presentation of case at
any future public local inquiry.
