Procure New Housing Repairs IT System
February 28, 2025 Executive Director for Public Health and Corporate Resources (Officer) Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
The existing IT business
system, Total Repairs, used by Property Services needs
replacing.
The system has been in use
for many years and, while it has served us adequately, it does not
meet the modern functional, performance and efficiency requirements
of the service. The system already has performance issues and will
become unsupported by the supplier at the end of March
2026.
The system is critical in
the delivery of maintenance and repairs services for 22,000 homes
across Kirklees and across the council’s corporate
estate.
A compliant procurement
process through either the Crown Commercial Services Application
Framework or G-Cloud was considered.
G-Cloud was the preferred
option given most vendors are on the framework, we’re able to
benefit from a much quicker contract award and it gives us the
opportunity to implement the new system in 12 months.
The contract will be awarded
through the CCS G-Cloud 14 Framework Agreement on a 3+1 year basis.
the total contract value is estimated to be between £891k and
£1,154k.
Content
The decision is to award a
contract through G-Cloud with a target to implement a new system
within 12 months.
