Purpose

CONTRACT REF:
KMCHS-392 Framework Period:1st May 2024 to
30th April 2026 with an option to extend for two further
twelve-month periods until 30th April 2028.

The current framework
arrangement expires 31st April 2024

The replacement framework is
being let to include lots for the neighbouring authorities of
Bradford, Calderdale, Leeds and York. Following a compliant
procurement process in line with Public contract Regulations 2015
the new framework will run from 1st May 2024 for an initial two
year period, with the option to extend for two further twelve-month
periods until 30th April 2028.

The estimated total value of
the framework is £5,300,000

Yearly spend is estimated at
City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council £50,000.00,
The Borough of Calderdale Council £75,000.00, Kirklees
Council £100,000.00, Leeds City Council £1,000,000.00
and City of York Council £100,000.00.

The framework is in place to
supplement the delivery of highways projects. This includes, but
not limited to, access platforms, concrete mixers, rollers, saws,
temporary traffic signals.  The Capital
required to purchase these items of plant, combined with the
running costs and uncertainty of work dictates the hire model as
the most economical.
