RESOLVED – That, by virtue of the
power vested in it by Section 249 of the Local Government Act 1972,
Joan Gorton be admitted in perpetuity as Honorary Freeman of the
Borough of Kirklees, in recognition of her tireless volunteering
work for Epilepsy Action in Huddersfield for more than fifty years,
campaigning to support and raise awareness of those with the
condition.
