Purpose

The contractor (BAM) is
already working under the PCSA to deliver the RIBA 4 stage design,
negotiate the NEC construction contract and the associated contract
sum and carry out the already instructed enabling works.
 
The PCSA period is to be
extended by five weeks to the 12th July 2024 to allow
the construction contract and the associated contract sum
negotiations to be concluded.
 
At the same time, to utilise
the contractor resources efficiently and to maintain the programme,
further internal demolition works are to be instructed under the
PCSA. These works are part of the demolition works that were
intended to be carried out during the next stage of the delivery
programme under the NEC construction contract.
 
Funding of £348,093 to
cover both these items will be drawn from the approved construction
stage budget.
 
This decision takes effect
from the 7th June 2024.
