Purpose

This delegated decision confirms the agreement of the Executive Director of Place, in consultation with the Regeneration, Highways and Transport Portfolio Holder, to publish a suite of completed Local Plan evidence documents to support early engagement in the preparation of the new Kirklees Local Plan. As further evidence is completed this will also be published.

The publication of this evidence will assist stakeholders, communities, infrastructure providers, landowners, developers and statutory consultees in engaging with the plan-making process at an early stage and will help ensure that future policy development is informed by an up-to-date and transparent evidence base. Publication of evidence is planned end of November 2026.

The decision is consistent with the resolution of Cabinet on 24 March 2026 in respect of the commencement and delivery arrangements for the preparation of the Kirklees Local Plan.
