Purpose

This decision implements
previous Cabinet approvals and continues the process of delivery of
Phase 1 of OCH for the construction stage.
 
In June 2023 BAM
Construction were the successful design & build tenderer for
Phase 1 and have been working with the Council and its delivery
team of professional advisors under the Pre-Construction Services
Agreement to conclude the RIBA 4 design and negotiate the
construction contract sum.
 
This process is drawing to a close and under the
delegationsin the Gateway 4
Cabinet report of 21st December 2023 the intention is to
award the NEC construction contract to BAM.
 
This decision is expected to
take effect from the 12th
July 2024.
