Purpose

The LCR Business Rates Pool for
2024/25 offers opportunity for any additional business rates levy
payments to be retained by the LCR Pool and invested to support
regional initiatives to be agreed by the LCR Joint
Committee.
 
Delegated authority approved as
part of the Council Budget approved on 6/3/24 as
follows:
 
That the
Council’s participation in the Leeds City Region Business
Rates Pool for 2024/25 be noted, and to and to approve delegated
authority to the Chief Executive and Service Director –
Finance, in consultation with the Leader and Corporate Portfolio
holder, to agree the governance arrangements for 24/25, for
approval through the Business Rates Joint Committee (section
2.20);
