Purpose

The Deed of Variation to the
Grant fund agreement is required to allow funding to be received by
Kirklees from WYMCA for Quarters 2, 3 & 4 of 2023/24 plus Q1 to
4 of 2024/25 (totalling £18,712,983) as per the Strategic
Outline Case collaboratively produced by the 5 local
Authorities
 
It also includes the change
request approval for Asset Management, PRoW & Network North
(totalling £2,780,026) and the deduction of Jacobs’
fees
(-£28,000)
 
The total figure for DoV
including all of the above is £21,465,009 as outlined on
Appendix B, New Schedule 3 (Refer to 9/7/24 Cabinet
Report)
 
 
Background:
Cabinet Key Decision
 
Key Decision previously made
in July 2024 when Strategic Director Environment and Climate in
consultation with Portfolio Holder for Highways approved the
funding income and scheme list as part of a delegated decision on
the 2024/25 Highways Capital Plan.
 
The Key Decision, and
approval for income, spend and the scheme list for 2024/25 was made
at Cabinet on 9th July 2024.
