The Local Government Boundary Commission for
England (LGBCE) is set to begin an Electoral Review of Knowsley
Council, to ensure that local areas within the borough are fairly
and evenly represented.
The review will look at the current ward
boundaries within Knowsley, sizes and population, ensuring they
reflect the latest, and future, demographic and electoral data.
Knowsley currently has 15 electoral
wards. Each ward elects 3 councillors, making a total
of 45 councillors. The review will consider whether any
changes need to be made to these wards, or the number of elected
members overall.
As part of their review, representatives from
the Boundary Commission will be attending a number of events in
Knowsley to explain the process, set out the formal public
consultation timeline, and answer any questions you may have. Each
session will last around 45 minutes. Further information on when
all these events are taking place is available
here.
The meeting to be held at 6.00pm on Thursday,
13 November 2025 in the Council Chamber, Huyton Municipal Building,
Archway Road, Huyton, L36 9YU will be livestreamed. The link to the
livestream will be available via Home - Knowsley
Council Webcasting.
