Planning Committee

The Planning Committee is responsible for the council's functions as the local planning authority, including the determination of planning applications and the exercise of enforcement powers. It makes decisions on development proposals affecting the borough. While the committee's decisions are binding, the public can participate by speaking at meetings before decisions are made.
