Purpose

This report seeks approval to update the Flag
Flying Protocol to reflect current national guidance and local
circumstances.

Decision

That:-
 
(i)       the Union Flag be
flown at half mast outside of both the
Huyton Municipal Buildings and The Kirkby Centre on Sunday 9 March
2025 to mark the Covid-19 Day of Reflection;
 
(ii)       the Flag Flying
Protocol be amended to show that the Union Flag will be flown at
half mast each year on the annual
Covid-19 Day of Reflection; and
 
(iii)      subject to the addition of
resolution (ii) above, the revised Flag Flying Protocol 2025, as
set out in Appendix A of the report submitted, be agreed.
