Purpose

The report is to seek approval of a non-provided for
modification to the contract with YMCA Together for the Homeless
Prevention and Accommodation Service (Alt Bank House Hostel) be
completed to facilitate the continued employment of a Rough Sleeper
post in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 9.3.1 (b), as
follows:
 
(b): Additional services by the original supplier have
become necessary and a change of supplier would:
 
(i)       not be feasible for
economic or technical reasons such as requirements of
interchangeability or interoperability with existing services
procured under the initial procurement; and
 
(ii)       cause significant
inconvenience for the Council, since the Council has been awarded
additional funding to support the provision of the additional
services.
 
and the total value of the modification is less than 50% of
the original contract value.
 

Decision

(i)                 
That in accordance
with Contract Procedure Rule 9.3.1(b), a non-provided for
modification to the value of the contract with YMCA Together for
Homeless Prevention and Accommodation Service (Alt Bank House
Hostel) be completed to facilitate the continued employment of a
Rough Sleeper post for 21 months from 1 April 2025 until 31
December 2026.
 
(ii)               
That the Procurement
Team be authorised to issue the relevant modification
documentation.
