Purpose

The purpose of the report is to seek approval
in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 9.3.1(a), to modify the
contract with organisation A, as provided for within the existing
contract from 1 April 2025 to 13 May 2025.
 
The justification for the decision is, as
required by Contract Procedure Rule 9.3.1(a): The modification is
provided for within the existing contract at clause B.1.2 in
precise and clear detail with regards to scope, nature and
conditions under which the modification may be used.
 
The purpose of the report is to also seek
approval in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 9.3.1 (f), to
modify the contract with organisation A to reduce the capacity
requirements to 1 FTE Social Worker to provide transition and
handover during the period of 1 April 2025 and 13 May 2025.
 
The justification for this decision is, as
required by Contract Procedure Rule 9.3.1(f): The modification
value does not exceed the relevant FTS threshold; the modification
value is less than 10% of the initial contract value (as a services
contract) and the modification does not alter the overall nature of
the contract.
 
These modifications are being sought because
the provision is being brought back in-house and to enable a smooth
handover and transition period, it is considered reasonable to
trigger the option to extend and manage transition by reducing
capacity required from the provider within this period.

with Contract Procedure Rule 9.3.1(a), the contract with
organisation A noted in Appendix A be modified by extending the
term as provided for within the existing contract at clause B1.2
from 1 April 2025 to 13 May 2025; and

(ii)       That, in accordance
with Contract Procedure Rule 9.3.1(f), the contract with
organisation A noted in Appendix A be modified by reducing the
existing capacity requirements to 1 FTE Social Worker to provide
transition and handover during the period of 1 April 2025 to 13 May
2025, and
 
(iii)      That, the Procurement Team
be authorised to issue the relevant contract modification
documentation.
