Purpose
The purpose of the report is to
seek approval in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 9.3.1(a),
to modify the contract with Uniscope International Ltd for Confidential Waste
Destruction as
provided for within the existing contract to provide the continuity
of service delivery as required by KMBC on an ongoing
basis.
The modification is provided within the existing contract
in precise and clear detail with regards to scope, nature and
conditions under which the modification may be used.
Decision
(i) That, in accordance
with Contract Procedure Rule 9.3.1(a), the contract with
Uniscope International Ltd for
Confidential Waste be
modified, by extending the term as provided for within the existing
contract at clause 7.7.3, from 19 June 2025 by 24
months.
(ii) That the Procurement
Team be authorised to issue the
relevant contract modification documentation.
Alternative options considered
Alternative options were considered and rejected due to the
quality of the existing service being sufficient to negate seeking
alternative service provision.
The current contract is scheduled to expire on the 18 June
2025 and includes an extension option for a further 24 months -
from 19 June 2025 to the 18 June 2027.
