Purpose

To resolve a pay and grading issue for an
existing Senior Trading Standards Enforcement Officer post holder
following achievement of the professional Trading Standards Officer
qualification status. This is to ensure the
appropriate level of capacity, skills and experience in relation to
key statutory obligations are retained by the service to the meet
future needs. 

Decision

The Assistant Executive Director (Neighbourhoods and Commercial Services) approved the
redesignation of the post of Senior Trading Standards Enforcement
Officer post (Grade M) to Trading Standards Officer
(Grade O) following a pay and grading review.
 

Alternative options considered

There were no other viable options available
to the service to consider.
