Purpose

To increase capacity in Financial Management
to support a general increase in workload, and to acquire
specialist skills.

Decision

The Executive Director (Resources) is
recommended to establish additional capacity in the Financial
Management Service as set out in section 5.1 of this report.
 

Alternative options considered

Continue with the current establishment was
rejected as there is significant pressure to manage additional
workload, and a reluctance to reduce existing activity in other
areas in order to release capacity.
