Purpose

To establish a new communications post to
support the Waste Management Service following the requirement for
the Council to implement the national Simpler Recycling legislation
including delivery of a weekly food waste collection service with
effect from 30 March 2026 onwards.
 

Decision

The Executive Director (Communities and
Neighbourhoods) in consultation with the Executive Director
(Resources) approves: -
 
·      
The establishment of 1 x full time equivalent, permanent Senior
Communications Officer (Grade K)
Undertake recruitment in line
with the ‘Recruitment and At Risk and Redeployment
Policy.
