Purpose

The purpose of this report is to seek approval
in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule Schedule 1.6.5.2
(i), to Sterling Services (Northern)
Limited for refurbishment works at 85 Longview Drive, Huyton.
 
The reason for the decision is that a
compliant procurement exercise has been undertaken in accordance
with Contract Procedure Rule 6 and the most advantageous bid has
been identified.
 

Decision

(i)            
That, in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule Schedule 1 6.5.2
(i) a contract be award to Sterling
Services (Northern) Limited for refurbishment works at 85 Longview
Drive, Huyton.
 
(ii)           
(ii) That, STAR Procurement be authorised to make the necessary arrangements for
the issue of the relevant contract documentation.
 

Alternative options considered

Do Nothing/Not Award: This option was
considered and rejected due to the ongoing presence of damp and
water ingress.
 
Deliver in house: This option was considered
and rejected as the council does not have the skills to deliver
this work in house.
