Purpose

The purpose of this report is to seek approval
for the non-award of a contract for the first-floor refurbishment
works at Huyton Municipal Building, Huyton.
 
The reason for the decision is that a
compliant procurement exercise has been undertaken in accordance
with Contract Procedure Rule 6, but following consultation with the
Chief Executive and elected members, the Council has taken the
decision to no longer proceed with the works.
 

Decision

That approval be given to the non-award of a
contract for the first-floor refurbishment works at Huyton
Municipal Building, Huyton.
 

Alternative options considered

Award: This option was considered and rejected
due to the Council no longer needing to proceed with the works.
