Purpose

The purpose of this report is to seek approval
in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 6.5.2(i) for the award
of contract to Sephton Decorators for Painting of Stretton Way
External Fencing.
 
The reason for the decision is that a
compliant procurement exercise has been undertaken in accordance
with Contract Procedure Rule 6 and the most advantageous bid has
been identified.
 

Decision

That, in accordance with Contract Procedure
Rule 6.5.2 (i) (Schedule 1) a contract be awarded to Sephton
Decorators for Painting of Stretton Way External Fencing.
 
(ii)       That,
the Procurement Team
be authorised to make the necessary arrangements for the issue of
the relevant contract documentation.
 

Alternative options considered

Do Nothing/Not Award: This option was
considered and rejected because it is imperative that the depot is
maintained to an acceptable standard.
 
Deliver in house: This option was considered
and rejected because we currently do not have the staff or
expertise to carry out the task’
