Purpose

This report outlines structural changes to
roles and functions to enhance service delivery, strengthen
organisational resilience, and support succession planning within
the Resources Department.
 

Decision

The Chief Executive in consultation with the
Executive Director (Resources) agrees to:
 

The transfer of the Insurance
function from Exchequer Services to Legal Services.
The redesignation of the post of
Information Governance Manager PMG1 to Information Governance and
Insurance Manager PMG3.
The regrade of the Deputy Data Protection Officer
post from Grade O to Grade P
The transfer of the Accounts Payable
function from Exchequer Services to the Financial Management
Service.
The remuneration of the Oracle Team
Manager through an increment within their existing grade from PMG2
to PMG3.
The disestablishment of 1fte Accountant Grade L/M
and the establishment of 1fte Oracle Team Leader Grade
O/P/Q
The redesignation of the Service
Manager Local Taxation and Business Transformation PMG3 to Service
Manager Revenues and Business Transformation PMG3.
The establishment of 1fte permanent
Service Manager Benefits and Welfare PMG3.
The establishment of 1fte Principal
Revenues Manager Grade P
The disestablishment of the post of
Service Manager Transactional Services from June 2026.

 

Alternative options considered

Retaining the existing posts and functions
within the existing services was considered and rejected as this
does not align with Council objectives.
