Purpose

To secure adoption, by the Highway Authority,
of the highway known as St. Judes Place, Stockbridge Village, under
Section 38/278 of the Highways Act 1980.

Decision

That the highway known as St. Judes Place,
Stockbridge Village, is adopted by the Council under Section 38/278
of the Highway Act 1980 and recorded as highway maintainable at
public expense on the Register maintained pursuant to Section 36(6)
of the Highways Act 1980, as set out in the report, and as
indicated on plan number H&CD/SM/00 21 (Appendix A) and
detailed in Appendix B.

Alternative options considered

Not to adopt the highway; this option has been
discounted on the basis it would mean that the Council would be in
breach of the Section 38/278 Agreement.
