Purpose
The purpose of this report is
to seek approval, in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 5.3.2
(Schedule 1), for the award of contract
to Dunkil
Developments for Halewood Park Pumping Station from
19 January 2026 to 18 February 2026.
The reason for the decision is
that a compliant procurement exercise has been undertaken in
accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 6, and the winning bidder
has been identified as providing the most advantageous offer to the
Council.
Decision
(i)
That, in accordance with Contract Procedure
Rule 5.3.2
(Schedule 1),a JCT Minor Works Building
Contract 2016 be awarded to Dunkil
Developments for Halewood Park Pumping Station from 19 January 2026
to 18 February 2026.
(ii) That the Procurement Team
be authorised
to make the necessary arrangements for the issue of
the relevant contract documentation.
Alternative options considered
Do Nothing: This option was
considered and rejected as the current system does not have enough
capacity for the increased demand. The sytem requires pumping out every few months when
capacity is reached, costing the service money.
Deliver in house: This option
was considered and rejected because there is no other funding
available.
