Purpose

The purpose of this report is to set out the
commissioning arrangements for Knowsley’s Preventative
Support for Behaviours that Challenge contract over the period 1
April 2026 to 31 March 2027 (Cost £0.050m) in collaboration
with NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board to deliver a
combined service and gain approval to continue to transfer existing
funding to NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board.
 

Decision

That the Interim Executive Director for
Children’s Services approve the extension of existing funding
transfer for the provision Preventative Support for Behaviours that
Challenge service to the value of £0.050m per annum to NHS
Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board (Knowsley) for a
further year until 31 March 2027.
 

Alternative options considered

Tender Exercise – This
option was considered and rejected as detailed in previous
extensions this was planned to move across to NHS Cheshire and
Merseyside Integrated Care Board (Knowsley Place) as part of a
wider ND (Neurodevelopmental) Pathway Service. The Integrated Care
Board will continue to work on the wider offer and wish to continue
with the current arrangement while this work is ongoing. The
Integrated Care Board still intend to develop ND Pathway Offer, but
this work has not yet been completed due to budget reviews.
