Purpose

The purpose of this report is to seek
approval, in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 7.7.5, for the
award of contract to Artisan Joinery Building and Property
Maintenance for 76 Derby Rd Shop Front Improvement from 1 October
2023 to 31 March 2023, including options to extend for further
periods of time up to a maximum of 6 months in aggregate, to 30
September 2024.
 
The reason for the decision is that a
compliant procurement exercise has been undertaken in accordance
with Contract Procedure Rule 7, and the winning bidder has been
identified as providing the most economically advantageous offer to
the Council.

Decision

The Executive Director Regeneration and
Economic Development in consultation with the Cabinet Member
Regeneration and Economic Development is recommended to: -
 
(i)       Approve the award of
a Contract to Artisan Joinery Building and Property Maintenance in
the sum of £0.235m, as detailed in section 6 of this report,
for 76 Derby Rd Shop Front Improvement from 1 October 2023 to 31
March 2023, including options to extend for further periods of time
up to a maximum of 6 months in aggregate, to 30 September 2024.in
accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 7.7.5 and;
(ii)       Authorise the Procurement
Team to make the necessary arrangements for the issue of the
relevant contract documentation.
