Purpose

To seek approval for
the alterations to the public highway proposed as part of the
construction of a new distribution centre and to seek approval to
waive Contract Procedure Rules, together with authorisation to
enter into a legal agreement under Section 278 of the Highways Act
1980 and Section 111 of the Local Government Act 1972, that will
permit the developer’s contractor to conduct the
related works.
 

Decision

The Head of Highways
and Capital Delivery:
 

1.     
Approves the implementation of the
proposed highway works on Villiers Road, Kirkby as described in
this report and shown on the approved layout drawing

2.     
Authorises the necessary legal and
administrative procedures required to enter into an agreement under
Section 278 of the Highways Act 1980 with ABRDN Property Holdings
Ltd to facilitate the construction of the highway works as referred
to in decision item 2.
