Purpose

The post holder will provide essential support in relation to the quality assurance of data essential for identifying recording issues within LAS, the development of performance reports and ensuring data quality is maintained within statutory returns for Adult Social Care services.

Decision

The Director of Corporate Support, in consultation with the Executive Director - Resources and Partnerships agrees to:

• Disestablish the permanent Assistant Intelligence Analyst post (grade F) and establish a 2-year fixed term apprentice post (grade B).

Alternative options considered

The disestablishment of the permanent grade F post, following the internal promotion of the previous post holder, was agreed as part of the policy and performance service’s savings requirements for 2026/27. Replacing this with a two year fixed term apprentice post will enable the service to meet its savings requirements and to continue to provide a level of support which remains essential to ensure that quality data is provided for performance reporting and statutory returns.
