Purpose

To propose the temporary re-designation of a vacant Service Manager post for a period of 12 months to develop the Council’s work on Neighbourhood health.

Decision

That the Chief Executive approves the temporary re-designation of a vacant Service Manager post (PMG 2) for a period of 12 months.

Alternative options considered

Do Nothing: This option was rejected as it would limit the Council’s ability to lead and co-ordinate neighbourhood health development activity at a time of significant change within the health and care system.  Failure to establish dedicated management capacity may result in missed opportunities to influence emerging models, secure partnership benefits and improve outcomes for residents.
