Purpose

The recruitment of a 2-year fixed term temporary Technical Support Apprentice (Grade B) post is necessary to ensure that the Planning & Building Control Service can successfully administer the collection of the Building Safety Levy which will become a statutory requirement in October 2026.

Decision

That the Executive Director (Place) in consultation with the Executive Director (Resources and Partnerships) approves the establishment of, and recruitment to a 2-year fixed term temporary Technical Support Apprentice (Grade B) post.
