Purpose

The purpose of this report is to approve the release of £0.095m from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government’s Pride in Place Page Moss and Fincham Programme as set out in this report;

Decision

That the Executive Director (Resources and Partnerships) in consultation with the Leader of the Council: -

(i)    Approve the release of £0.095m from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government’s Pride in Place Page Moss and Fincham Programme as set out in this report;

(ii)   Note the requirement to address the critiera stipulated within the Grant Funding Programme; and

(iii)Authorise the Head of Legal Services in consultation with the Head of Communities to negotiate and agree a grant agreement with the L14 Community House Ltd.

Alternative options considered

Not releasing the proposed funds to L14 Community House Ltd could result in the Council being unable to fulfil the requirements set out in the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government’s Pride in Place Page Moss and Fincham Programme and ultimately result in a significant delay in the programme.
