Purpose

The purpose of this report is to seek approval, in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 5.3.2, for the award of contract to Civica Election Services Limited for The Provision of Elections and Electoral Registration Print and Related Services from 24 August 2026 to 30 June 2030.

Decision

The Assistant Chief Executive hereby approves:

(i)         that, in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 5.3.2, a contract be awarded to Civica Election Services Limited for The Provision of Elections and Electoral Registration Print and Related Services from 24 August 2026 to 30 June 2030; and

(ii)        that the Procurement Team be authorised to make the necessary arrangements for the issue of the relevant contract documentation.

Alternative options considered

Do Nothing: This option was considered and rejected as the Council has a statutory duty in relation to elections and electoral registration which requires associated printing to be undertaken.

Deliver in house: This option was considered and rejected as the Council does not have the resources or capacity to undertake printing of this nature.
