Purpose
The purpose of this report is to:
• propose
changes to the Housing Solutions service structure which will
ensure continuity of service to meet the demand for homeless
services and will mitigate the risk of staff on fixed term
contracts from seeking alternative employment as their existing
fixed term contracts approach their end.
• seek
approval to create two new fixed term posts, a 16-month maternity
cover role in Housing Solutions and a new 24-month fixed term
Strategic Housing Officer post. The later post will help support
the delivery of key projects over the next two years.
Decision
The Executive Director (Regeneration and
Economic Development) hereby approves:
a) the twelve-month
extension of two fixed term full time Housing Solutions Domestic
Abuse Advocate posts, Grade J (A4991).
b) the creation of a
16-month fixed term full time Housing Solutions Domestic Abuse
Advocate post, Grade J (A4991).
c) making the fixed
term Housing Solutions Officer post, Grade H (A4926) occupied by
employee 1000742 permanent.
d) extending the
Accommodation of Ex-Offenders Housing Solutions Officer
post, Grade H (A4926) for a further
twelve months.
e) the extension of two
Intensive Support Worker posts, Grade F (A4996) to the 31 March
2026 (employee 1001961 and employee 1000457).
f) the creation
of a 24-month fixed term full time Strategic Housing Officer post,
Grade H (A4710).
