About

The Appointments Sub-Committee is responsible for recommending the appointment of the Chief Executive to the full Council and making appointments for other Chief Officers as outlined in the Council's Constitution. It may also appoint Deputy Chief Officers if the Chief Executive determines it necessary. The Sub-Committee's activities include shortlisting, interviewing, and appointing candidates for these senior roles. Its membership consists of five councillors, including at least one Cabinet member, though a meeting is not considered inquorate if the Cabinet member is absent.
