Decision
1.
That having considered
the representations received during statutory consultation for
parking restrictions in the West Dulwich CPZ, as shown in Appendix
A, that the proposal be revised to reduce the operational hours of
the CPZ to 12 noon – 2pm, Monday – Friday.

To authorise officers
to commence statutory consultation in accordance with the Local
Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales)
Regulations 1996 on the revised proposal for the West Dulwich CPZ
outlined in para 2.13 of this report and detailed in Appendix
A. It is anticipated that the statutory
consultation will take place in January 2025.

Subject to no material
objections being received following the
statutory consultation process in recommendation 2, to agree to the
implementation of the revised CPZ scheme and to making the relevant
Traffic Management Orders (TMOs) under sections 6, 45, 49, 124 and
Schedule 1 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, but that if any material objections are received they are
considered by way of a separate written report before a decision is
reached. It is anticipated that the CPZ could be operational
towards the end of June 2025. Costs associated with Recommendation
2 and 3 is estimated to be £68,000 to be funded from the
project budget for the West Dulwich CPZ within the existing Capital
Investment Programme (CIP).

To exercise discretion not to hold a public inquiry
pursuant to Regulation 9 of the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales)
Regulations 1996.
5.
To have regard to the Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) undertaken
concerning the CPZ as detailed in Appendix F.
