Decision

Having
given consideration to representations and objections received
during statutory consultation on parking controls for the
Peckham to Streatham Healthy Route
 (phase 3) scheme as set out in the
report and Appendix B (Engagement Feedback), to  authorise the implementation of parking controls
and making of Traffic Management Orders under the provisions of
sections 6, 45, 49, 124 and Schedule 1 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 
 as illustrated in
the drawings attached in Appendix A.

Having
given consideration to representations
received during consultation on raised Copenhagen crossings (s90
Highways Act) and a pedestrian and cycle lane crossing (s23 Road
Traffic Regulation Act) for the Peckham to Streatham Healthy Route
(phase 3) scheme as set out in the report and in Appendix B
(Engagement Feedback), to implement the scheme as illustrated in
the drawings attached in Appendix A.

It is not considered that holding a public inquiry
pursuant to Regulation 9 of the Local Authorities Traffic Orders
(Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 would provide
further information that would assist the Council in reaching a
decision in this matter at this stage and for that reason it is
recommended that the decision maker exercise his or her discretion
not to hold such an inquiry.

To have regard to the
Equality Impact Assessment prepared for the purposes of this report
(Appendix C).
