Full council record

Purpose

To upgrade current communal area estate
lighting to LED Lighting. This will be funded from the CIP. These
works will provide longer lifespans of the lights over the current
fluorescent type fittings while both reducing the councils carbon
footprint and reducing running & maintenance costs.

Decision

1)
To utilise the existing Qualifying Long-Term Agreement (QLTA)
contractor NRT Group Ltd whose works already involve the repair and
Maintenance of the estate lighting. Works are scheduled to start on
22 January and finish by March 2025.

2)
To allocate £2m from the currently unallocated theme budget
for Energy, Flood Prevention and Climate Change Response
Infrastructure in the General Fund Capital Investment Programme
(CIP) approved by the Cabinet in July 2020, to a reserve and
applied to the expenditure in the HRA.

3)
To approve the contract Variation to the Lambeth Housing
Maintenance and Repairs Contract: Electrical Works - Lot 7 awarded
to NRT for an increase value of £2m and a total contract
value of £9.678m to be delivered between January 2024 and
March 2025.

4)
To note that there is no requirement to carry out leaseholder
consultations and therefore no recharge to leaseholders.
