Purpose

This report seeks authorisation to proceed
with the process of drafting, consulting upon and ultimately making
a stopping up order of a small area of highway that protrudes to
the front of 56 Elder Road, to enable development for which
planning permission was granted under reference
22/00442/FUL

Decision

1)    
That upon receipt of payment from the applicant, the Council
publishes a notice of intent to make an order (the
“Order”) under section 247(2A) of the Town and Country
Planning Act 1990 (the “Act”) to remove (“stop
up”) the part of Elder Road illustrated as such on the
drawing no. PTP_23027_001A - Stopping Up Plan, appendix A to
this report.
 
2)    
That if, by the end of the 28-day consultation period, no
objections have been received, or any objections received are
withdrawn, then the Assistant Director of Infrastructure,
Environment, Public Realm and Climate Change Delivery will request
that the Order be made as an unopposed Order.
 
3)    
If objections are received and are not withdrawn and the Mayor of
London decides that an inquiry is necessary, the Council shall
cause an inquiry to be held.
