Purpose

Decision

1.   
To note that the full
details of the second phase designation were submitted to Cabinet
in November 2024 and approved in principle.
 
2.   
Under the new general
approval, to agree to designate a new Selective Licencing area (to
be known as Selective Licensing Designation 2) in nineteen (19)
wards, with only Waterloo and South Bank and Vauxhall not included,
from July 2025 for a five-year period to June 2030 (subject to
publication date). The draft designation document is set out in
Appendix 3 (Selective Licencing Designation
2).
 
3.   
To agree the proposed
selective licensing conditions set out in Appendix 4
and proposed property licensing fee structure detailed in
Appendix 5 which are the same as was agreed in May
2024 for Selective Licensing Designation 1.

To agree to delegate
authority to the Corporate Director for Resident and Enabling
Services in conjunction with the Cabinet Member for Safer
Communities to issue the required statutory notifications in
relation to the designation and to ensure compliance in all
respects with all relevant procedures and formalities applicable to
the scheme.
