Purpose

The proposal is to increase fees and charges
by 10% which allows the service to recover more of our costs for
2023/24where permitted by statute and in the spirit of the
principles set out in the Fees and Charges Policy.

Decision

1.   
To authorise
raising the price of the following parking permit types:
Doctors, Teachers, Business, Business All Zones, Car Clubs,
Healthcare, Personal Carers and Motorbike referred to in this
report as ‘other permit types’ by 10 per
cent.
 
2.   
To authorise the publication of Variation Notices
issued under Section 46A and Section 35C of theRoad Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, in order to give effect to the recommended
changes proposed in this report ofa 10 per centincrease. This is in
line with other fees and charges increases implemented across the
Council from 1 April 2023.
 
3.   
To authorise the proposed increase to
the diesel surcharge as detailed in this
report.
 
4.   
To have regard to the Equalities Impact Assessment
prepared for the purposes of this report (Appendix 1)
