Purpose
It is proposed that Brockwell Live returns to
Brockwell Park in 2025, with six diverse festivals over two
weekends in May and June, in addition to a free to access one-day
mid-week community festival during half term (Brockwell Bounce).
The report recommends that Brockwell Live is given permission to go
ahead pending EventLambeth and organisers’ continued
engagement with the Lambeth Event Safety Advisory Group.
Decision
To approve and issue a Park Event
Permit allowing Brockwell Live to be held in Brockwell Park between
23 May and 1 June 2025, subject to the Events Service protocols and
terms and conditions of hire. Brockwell Live consists of the
following festivals: Wide Awake, Field Day, Cross the Tracks, City
Splash, Brockwell Bounce (free-to-enter community festival) and
Mighty Hoopla.
To approve the recommendations as
outlined in the Event Services Manager review in section 1.9 of the
report - Final assessment, review and recommendations.
To approve expenditure from the
Event Operations revenue budget to support delivery of the event,
currently estimated at £30,000.
