Decision

1.             
That the council allocate a total of £128,685
from the Net Zero Innovation Funding award to Public Works through
a capital fund grant agreement to deliver the project as per the
grant funding commitment, noting that the funding would contribute
to the build costs of a council-owned property.
 
2.             
To note that Loughborough Junction Action
Group (LJAG), a
volunteer-led charity, has secured £75,000 in match funding
from the Veolia Environmental Trust that would cover the cost of
supplying and installing the AD. To meet funding deadlines, it is
recommended that spend from the Net Zero Innovation Fund be
commenced by April 2025, with the Veolia Community Fund drawdown
beginning before June 2025. The project team is currently
progressing tender packages and the Regen team are working with
Valuation and Strategic Assets (VASA) colleagues to provide a
License for Works by June.
