Purpose

The Rough Sleeping Initiative was launched in
March 2018 and was targeted at local authorities with the highest
numbers of people sleeping rough, based on the 2017 rough sleeping
snapshot.
This is an initiative to support rough sleepers away from the
streets and to develop their wellbeing and stability, helping to
reduce the number of people sleeping rough in both the short and
longer term.

The interventions have changed each year to meet emerging needs and
demands within the borough.

The decision is to award the RSI year 8 funding to Thames Reach, St
Mungo’s and Single Homeless Project (SHP)
These organisations are already providing rough sleeping services
in the borough, via the RSI, or have specialisms in the
intervention areas.

Decision

To approve the extension of
contracts with Thames Reach, St Mungo’s and Single Homeless
Project under Regulation 72 of the Public Contracts Regulations
2015 to deliver services from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026 at a
total value of £1,469,183. The aggregate contract value
including this extension will be £3,914,323.
