Decision

1. Having given consideration to representations and objections received during statutory consultation on parking controls shown in Appendix A and as set out in the report in Appendix B (Engagement Feedback), to authorise the implementation of the scheme and making of Traffic Management Orders under the provisions of sections 6, 45, 49, 124 and Schedule 1 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as illustrated in the drawing attached in Appendix A. The works are estimated to begin in June 2025, and to end in July 2025.

Having given consideration to representations received during statutory consultation on a new raised zebra pedestrian crossing(s23 Road Traffic Regulation Act) and road humps(s90 Highways Act) for the proposals shown in Appendix A and as set out in the report in Appendix B (Engagement Feedback), to authorise the implementation of the scheme.

1. It is not considered that holding a public inquiry pursuant to Regulation 9 of the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 would provide further information that would assist the Council in reaching a decision in this matter at this stage and for that reason it is recommended that the decision maker exercise his or her discretion not to hold such an inquiry.
