Decision
1.
To approve the modification of the School Street scheme in the
vicinity of Jessop Primary School in Lowden Road, to prohibit motor
vehicles between 8:15am and 9:15am and between 3:00pm and 4:00pm
Monday-Friday during term-time. As part of this modification, the
residents living in Lowden Road will be able to use their existing
exemption permit for nominated vehicles to access the zone at all
times without committing an offence.

To approve the modification of the School Street scheme in the
vicinity of Bonneville Primary School in Bonneville Gardens, to
prohibit motor vehicles between 8:30am and 9:30am and between
3:00pm and 4:00pm Monday-Friday during term-time. As part of this
modification, the residents living in Bonneville Gardens will be
able to use their existing exemption permit for nominated vehicles
to access the zone at all times without committing an offence.

To approve the modification of the School Street scheme in the
vicinity of Stockwell Primary School in Burgoyne Road, to prohibit
motor vehicles between 8:30am and 9:30am and between 3:00pm and
4:00pm Monday-Friday during term-time. As part of this
modification, the residents living in Burgoyne Road will be able to
use their existing exemption permit for nominated vehicles to
access the zone at all times without committing an offence.

To have regard to the Equality Impact Assessment prepared for the
purposes of this report (Appendix D).

To approve the forecast costs of £13,000 to implement the
modification of the School Street scheme by 5 June 2023.

To authorise officers to carry out statutory consultation under
Section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, in accordance
with the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure)
(England and Wales) Regulations 1996, on the proposals in
recommendations 1 and 2 and as detailed in section 2 of the
report.
7.
That subject to the outcome of the consultation referred above,
to agree to the implementation of these measures under sections 6
and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
8.
That where material
objections are received during the statutory consultation process
that any such objections received will be considered by way of a
separate written report to the Assistant Director for Parking,
Street Management and Commercial before a decision is reached on
whether or not to proceed.
