Purpose

The proposal is to procure a managed service contractor through Lot 3 of the Procurement for Housing (PfH), Material Supply & Associated Services Framework. Procurement of this service enables operatives from the Community Works Team to place orders for materials required for a repair or several repairs, within communal areas on Lambeth housing estates.
The initial contract is valued at approximately £1,500,000 and is set to commence from July 2025. The initial contract period is for three years (3), with the option to extend for up to two additional one-year periods.

Decision

1. To note expenditure on the pilot between 1 May 2024 and 7 May 2025 with Bridge Housing of £230,720.80, achieving a cost avoidance of £460,000.

1. To approve a new direct contract award of spend up to £1,000,000 for 2025/26 with Bridge Housing to achieve up to 150 moves into permanent social housing to homeless households who would otherwise be in Lambeth temporary accommodation, leading to cost avoidance of £2,300,000.
