1.         
To note the representations received as detailed in
Appendix B in response to the statutory consultation regarding the
introduction of peak charging and a minimum duration charge for
paid-for-parking.

To note the potential additional revenue generation
of £430,472 per annum but also that parking revenue is
expected to decline in future years as motorists gradually replace
vehicles with sustainable modes of transport.

 

3.         
To have regard to the Equalities Impact Assessment
(EQIA) prepared for the purposes of this report (Appendix
A).

 

4.         
To exercise discretion not to cause a public inquiry
to be held pursuant to Regulation 9 of the Local Authorities
Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations
1996.

 

5.         
To approve the introduction of the changes with
effect from 1 September 2025.
