Purpose

Approval to implement a trial healthy
neighbourhood scheme, known as Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, under an
experimental traffic order. Trial experimental traffic restrictions
are proposed for the area bounded by Albert Embankment (A3032),
Kennington Lane (A3204) and Black Prince Road to reduce road danger
and enable safe walking, wheeling, scooting and cycling.

The scheme is a combination of traffic restrictions and public
realm improvements with kerbside initiatives to significantly
improve walking, wheeling, scooting and cycling to create
healthier, greener and safer streets while retaining access for
motor vehicles.
